Free Bryant webfont upgrade

The desktop version of Bryant, our warm and modern take on the geometric sans serif, features stylistic alternates that have been unavailable in our webfont packages  – until now! Due to popular request, we’ve now made this typographic flexibility available, giving you more ways to use Bryant 2, Bryant Compressed, and Bryant Condensed on your site.

Bryant Stylistic Alternates

While stylistic alternates are becoming easy to access in desktop applications that support OpenType, browser support for these features online is still, for the most part, on the horizon. This means that translating this feature to webfonts requires taking a few more steps.  We have broken the stylistic sets into separate font files to allow access to these special features on the web with @font-face or Typekit.

Already have a webfont license for Bryant 2, Bryant Compressed or Bryant Condensed? Just log in and go to “My Account” to view your recent orders and re-download Bryant to receive your free upgraded stylistic sets. If you are using Typekit to display Bryant on your website, you should find the new options in your font library.

Webfonts with @font-face, finally!

We’re now offering seven of our families for use as webfonts. Yep, that’s webfonts … one word … for use with @font-face! Now you’ll be able to include Bryant 2, Bryant Compressed, Bryant Condensed, Klavika, Klavika Condensed, Locator or Seravek in web projects using searchable, scalable HTML text styled with CSS alone. Since you’ve been inquiring about using our fonts as webfonts for what seems like ages, we’ll skip the introductions and get straight to the meat.

The Overview
Our webfont option works like this: for a one-time license fee, you’ll get web-only fonts (WOFFs and EOTs) to host and serve yourself. Our webfonts are licensed just like our desktop fonts – no monthly fees, no subscriptions.

In addition to web-only font files, you’ll also have the option to host and serve the fonts through Typekit. If you haven’t heard of FOUT (flash of unstyled text!) or kept up with the latest @font-face gotchas, then using Typekit will make the task of implementing @font-face much easier. Hosting fonts through Typekit also has the benefit of extending the capabilities of WOFFs and EOTs to reach most modern browsers that support @font-face.

Pricing
Pricing is on a per domain basis with a single webfont licensed for a single domain starting at $29. If you need both the webfont and desktop versions of a typeface, a combination pack is available. You’ll receive 25% off the webfont portion when buying the two together.

If you decide to use Typekit to serve the licensed fonts, any one of Typekit’s plans can be used, even their free Trial plan. If you already have a Typekit account, the fonts are added to your existing plan at no additional cost.

Get started!
Process Type Foundry webfonts are available for purchase exclusively on our site. If you’ve already licensed the desktop version of a webfont from our site before, you may be eligible to upgrade to the desktop and web combination pack to save 25% off the webfont portion. Read more about our upgrade program or contact us directly for assistance.
